Over 100 Energy Builder members submitted letters to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) in support of the Atlantic Coast Pipeline, a natural gas transmission project to be built by Dominion Energy from West Virginia through Virginia and North Carolina. The letters, submitted prior to the comment submission deadline on April 6, were in support of FERC’s Draft Environmental Impact Statement. Apparently the letters hit the mark as FERC issued a favorable Final Environmental Impact Statement on July 21 after review of the many supportive comments received. The next step will be a formal FERC Commission vote to issue the certificate needed to begin construction.
