Energy Builders is a grassroots coalition of workers, local businesses, civic leaders, unions and American families who work directly in or support the energy delivery supply chain. We came together because Americans deserve the best, safest, most modern and secure energy delivery systems in our communities. America is enjoying an energy revolution, where innovation and new discoveries of clean and affordable fuels like natural gas are cutting consumer prices, utility bills, and air pollution. We need to modernize and expand our energy infrastructure and delivery systems to ensure that all families, workers and businesses get their fair share of the rewards.

We are Energy Builders. We are the professionals that work for businesses of all sizes to build and modernize energy infrastructure in our region. Our workers make and deliver the steel, concrete, equipment and other materials needed to construct today’s first-class energy delivery systems. We are welders, technicians, testing and safety inspectors, pipefitters, construction workers, engineers, valve-makers and equipment suppliers. We are biologists and botanists who ensure that projects are environmentally sound.

The energy supply chain serves our own communities and all of America, and is a major contributor to local and national economies. Nearly 90 percent of energy infrastructure supply chain companies are small businesses.

The energy infrastructure projects planned for our community will deliver economic benefits today and will deliver a higher quality of life for our region in the future by:

• Making safety the number one priority for the public, the environment, and workers
• Keeping electric, gas and utility bills affordable for families
• Pumping money into the local economy
• Employing local small and medium-sized businesses involved in the energy supply chain
• Providing energy independence from the Middle East, Russia and Venezuela
• Allowing more renewable energy to be built to serve our community

While we respect those who have different views, many opponents of building new energy delivery systems are simply protestors who have been dropped into our community to spread fear, misinformation and untruths about new projects. They are part of a radical movement that seeks to end the use of domestic natural gas and oil that is accessible due to American innovation. In past debates on similar projects, some have even intimidated and bullied workers, the public and government employees, and engaged in vandalism and violence. These shameful tactics have no place in American society.

Energy Builders is going door-to-door, having conversations, answering questions and explaining why energy infrastructure projects in our community strengthen our economy, environment and quality of life. We hope you’ll join us in saying yes to local jobs, a stronger economy and cleaner air and water.
