Dakota Access Pipeline, Assault Incident

A mob of over 200 pipeline protestors tore down a fence “ambushed and assaulted” private security officers at the Dakota Access Pipeline site sending one individual to the hospital with injuries. Protectors marched from the banks of the Mississippi River through a timbered woodland lot to a Dakota Access site, attempting to shut down construction operations.

The protest was organized by the grassroots collective Mississippi Stand and their solidarity network across Eastern Iowa.
