Two other protesters infiltrated the construction site and climbed inside the Sabal Trail Pipeline. They used locks, plastic pipe, chicken wire, tape, bolts and concrete to make it difficult for authorities to remove them, causing damage to a section of the pipe.
Protesters also allegedly lodged themselves inside a piece of the pipeline, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. They proceeded to take Facebook videos from inside. Because they temporarily deprived the construction company from the use of their pipeline, there is a grand theft charge.
